Code of Conduct

To deliver on our mission to optimize the use and impact of energy to enhance the quality of life in the Southeast, the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance (SEEA) convenes multiple events. We are committed to cultivating a welcoming and respectful community for all to facilitate genuine openness, collaboration, and idea exchange. This Code of Conduct applies to all attendees, employees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and other participants at SEEA events. We expect all participants in our community to contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment that supports diversity and inclusion.

Unacceptable behavior

We will not tolerate unacceptable behavior from any community member. Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:

  1. Harassment or intimidation based on race, religion, language, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, appearance, gender identity, gender expression, or other legally protected group status.
  2. Sexual harassment or intimidation, including unwelcome sexual attention, stalking (physical or virtual), or unsolicited physical contact.
  3. Distribution of written or graphic material that denigrates, shows hostility, aversion, or unwelcome attention.
  4. Yelling at or threatening speakers or others (verbally or physically).

Participants asked to stop the above behavior must comply immediately and without retaliation. If they do not abide by these rules, we may remove them from the premises, refuse a refund, and ban them from future SEEA events.

Reporting Behavior

Please report any behavior that you observe or experience at a SEEA event that conflicts with this Code of Conduct. If you are being harassed or feel uncomfortable, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the SEEA event staff immediately.
